Disney Cruise Check-in 2022

We are getting ready to go on our Disney cruise on the Fantasy at the end of the month and recently completed our online check-in. You may begin check-in at midnight on day 29 before your cruise. If you want an early port arrival time, then you should be ready at midnight to check-in. If you haven’t sailed recently or if this is your first cruise, here are a few tips to help you be ready for your check-in.

1. Have your identification documents ready to be photographed. This would be your passports or photo ID and birth certificates.

2. Have a head and shoulders photo of each passenger of your party. This photo should be clear and without other objects in the photo. Think of what you would need for a passport photo. I used my iPhone to check-in and had our photos saved to my phone in advance. You can change photos while you are in the submitting phase, but once you hit the Save button at the bottom, photos cannot to changed until Disney reviews the photos and gets back to you.

3. Have your payment method information ready to enter for on board charges. You also authorize who in your party may charge to this payment method.

4. Next up is to enter preferences for traveling with children, such as who they can leave the ship with and if they can check themselves in or out of the kids club if they are older children. If they are younger, have your secret password picked out for drop off and pickup at the kids clubs.

5. Have your travel plans ready to enter, such as flight information and how you are arriving and departing from port.

6. Then finally you get to select a port arrival time! Remember you can not show up before your port arrival time right now.

Once all of this is completed your Port Arrival Form is generated. Each passenger gets a QR code that can be downloaded to your phone’s wallet, but you will also need to a printed copy for when you get to port. I had the form emailed to me to print out later. I am not for sure how necessary the printed form will be with the codes saved to my phone, but the the directions say to have it printed out and on you for check-in at the port.

The final part of check-in cannot be done until 14 days before you sail and that is creating an account and uploading your vaccine information to Safe Passage for US sailings.

Also , remember that at this time you can select kids club times and any character experiences that are available under Onboard Fun!

See my previous post on cruise vacation essentials that you need now that I wrote over a year ago. As I re-read it, I think it still applies. Happy cruising!
